"United Orthodox Youth" calls for active opposition to the gay pride parade in Moscow

The public organization "United Orthodox Youth" appealed to the public with a request to actively oppose the holding of a gay pride parade in Moscow. The organization encourages people to write appropriate applications to the Moscow City Hall, the Public Chamber, the prosecutor's office and law enforcement agencies.

Activists of the organization intend to hold a series of pickets to collect signatures against this parade in Moscow, as well as to apply for holding a "powerful protest action against "spiritual terrorism" near the Olimpiysky sports complex on May 16.

The Central Council of the Interregional Public Movement "People's Cathedral" also addressed Yu. Luzhkov with a request to prevent a gay parade in Moscow.

On April 30, Orthodox youth held a rally in Moscow's Novopushkinsky Square against a gay pride parade.
