An anti-Semitic textbook was checked in St. Petersburg

In April 2009, in St. Petersburg, the commission of the University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the results of an internal audit in connection with the appearance of an anti-Semitic textbook by Professor V.A. Drozhzhin "History of the domestic state and law 1985-1991: a textbook". The entire edition of the textbook was destroyed by the University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The commission came to the conclusion that the textbook cannot be used in the educational process and must be destroyed. Professor Drozhzhin was fired.

Recall that after the appearance in March 2009 of a new textbook by V.A. Drozhzhin "History of the domestic state and law 1985-1991: a textbook" and the scandal that followed, the leadership of the University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs withdrew the entire edition of the textbook. An internal commission was created from scientists-specialists of the university.

The commission came to the conclusion that his manual "does not meet the requirements of the state educational standard, the program of the course "History of the national state and law" and the profile of personnel training carried out at the university" , but reflects the subjective views of the author. The sources used by the author "cannot be classified as scientific and educational literature" , quotes "are biased and affect the dignity of individual citizens" .

The press service of the University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the release of the textbook became possible "due to the unsatisfactory attitude to the performance of their duties by a number of university officials involved in the editorial and publishing activities . "

According to the decision of the commission, the work of Vasily Drozhzhin has no scientific and educational and practical value, cannot be used in the educational process and is subject to destruction.

"The leadership of the university apologizes to everyone whose national feelings were affected by the publication ," the University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes.
