Nationalists celebrated May Day

On May 1, 2009, May Day rallies and marches took place in Russia. Nationalists participated in these events in many cities.

In Moscow, about 200 people gathered for a rally on Krasnaya Presnya, speaking under the slogans "Russia - Russian land", "Russia - Russian order." The event was attended by "Slavic Union", DPNI, NPF "Memory", "Union of Orthodox banner-bearers". Head of the DPNI-Moscow Vladimir Basmanov, member of the National Council of the DPNI Vladimir Tor, head of the DPNI-Moscow Region Vladimir Yermolaev, leader of the NBF "Pamyat" Georgy Borovikov, representative of the DPNI-Orel Yevgeny Shilin spoke at the rally. The event was opened by the leader of the Slavic Union Dmitry Demushkin.

In St. Petersburg, the nationalists marched along Nevsky Prospekt under their own flags and slogans. The organizers were the regional branch of the Movement Against Illegal Immigration and the "Slavic Union". The procession started from the monument to Matrosov, chanting "Glory to Russia!", "Krasnoyarsk is a Russian city", "Russia is a Russian land" "Peace! Labor! May! Guest worker leave!", "Today a migrant, tomorrow an occupier", "Less migrants , higher wages" and ended with a rally on the embankment. The column consisted of about 80 people. During the rally, the coordinator of the Krasnoyarsk branch of the DPNI Leonid Ikonnikov, the former leader of the RNU Oleg Emelianenko, the former leader of the local branch of Yabloko , a member of Great Russia Vladimir Abrosimov, spoke at the rally. After the rally, law enforcement officers tried to detain one of the activists and seize a bag with imperial flags.

In Kirov, the Vyatka branch of the DPNI organized the Russian March of Labor, which took place along the alley of Oktyabrsky Prospekt. The march brought together about 300 participants, speaking under the slogan "Russian worker, rise up!" "Stop the genocide of Russians!", "Stop repressions against Russian patriots!" . The participants in the movement directly called themselves National Socialists. The action was attended by police officers.

A small DPNI rally took place in Novosibirsk . The participants spoke under the slogan "Down with illegal migration" The participants of the event bought the head of the Federal Migration Service a one-way ticket for the Moscow-Dushanbe train.

in Volgograd Several small rallies took place . Several people were detained.

In Voronezh, the procession was banned by the local authorities, and DPNI and RNBF activists limited themselves to distributing leaflets.
