Suspects of attacking a citizen of Uzbekistan detained in the Moscow region

On May 6, 2009, it became known that teenagers suspected of murdering a citizen of Uzbekistan were detained in the Moscow region.

A 14-year-old lyceum student, an 18-year-old student at a Moscow university, and a 16-year-old evening school student were detained.

“The motives for the crime are now being established, all versions are being considered, including the possibility that the teenagers could have committed an attack on a citizen of Uzbekistan on ethnic grounds,” said law enforcement agencies of the Moscow region.

On May 7, 2009, the young people were released on their own recognizance.
