In St. Petersburg, a case was brought to court against two Kabardino-Balkarians who attacked a group of people they mistook for Nazi skinheads

On May 7, 2009, in St. Petersburg, a case was brought to court on the fact of the murder on New Year's Eve 2005 of Olympic cycling champion Dmitry Nelyubin, whom the attackers mistook for a Nazi skinhead.

Previously, there were five accused. Now it is reported about two defendants. Alim Azhagoev was charged under paragraph "and" part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder out of hooligan motives). Edik Azhagoev is charged under Part 1 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism) and Art. 316 (concealment of crimes).
