In the Kemerovo region, an entrepreneur replaced the imam in one of the mosques

On May 15, in Kiselevsk, Kemerovo region, the imam of the city’s cathedral mosque and the region’s mufti from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Asian Part of Russia (DUMACHR), Salavat Kuchumov, was not allowed to preach. Local businessman Bagautdin Pugoev, who financed the construction of the mosque, introduced the new imam to the believers.

“I did not put up any resistance, and so that there would be no fitna (disturbance) in the House of Allah, I had a conversation with believers before the sermon, after which I got up and left the mosque,” ​​S. Kuchumov, who was warned, told Islam.ru B. Pugoev about the possible development of events in a few days.

B. Pugoev belongs to the Muslim Spiritual Directorate of the Kemerovo Region , an organization created in 2009 that is not formally part of the central Muslim organizations, but is supported by the regional authorities.
