Bishop of Lipetsk and Yelets Nikon (Vasin) spoke out against the social action "Feel the power of change!" in the city, organized by the community of Protestant churches. He appealed to the residents of the region, warning that the Orthodox diocese does not support the action, and any form of participation in such events is unacceptable for an Orthodox Christian."
According to the bishop, the real purpose of the action is proselytism and "recruitment" through "psychological violence" in relation to "socially disadvantaged sections of the population who are in a severe spiritual and material crisis, as well as young people and children whose worldview has not yet been formed."
The day before, the head of the Lipetsk diocese appealed to the authorities of the region with an appeal not to support the action.
