Swastika in Pechora
In the spring of 2009, in the city of Pechora (Komi Republic), unknown people painted a fascist swastika on the walls of residential buildings with black paint and left inscriptions of "provocative content" .
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (vandalism motivated by national hatred). The suspects are two young people born in 1989 and 1990. - detained and under house arrest.
On December 22, 2009, the criminal case, together with the approved indictment, was sent to court. At the end of January 2010, the court sentenced Anton Terentyev and Aleksey Arteyev under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting national hatred or enmity) to 1 year of probation each.
