The Union of Military Islamic Scholars was created in Moscow

In Moscow, on the basis of the club of graduates of the Military Institute of Foreign Languages, the Union of Military Islamic Studies was created. According to a member of the expert council of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs S. Vorobyov, the Union included people who worked in Islamic states, and the main task of the new organization will be applied issues, and not "pure science": "We would like to join those efforts which are undertaken by the oriental community together with state structures for interaction with the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, border troops, etc. It is one thing to discuss Islamic studies at a round table.It is completely different when people who have worked for 5-10 years abroad with Muslim military personnel make their recommendations."
