In early June 2009, Roskomnadzor ruled against the editors of the Novosibirsk newspaper "For People's Power!" warning about the inadmissibility of extremist activity. The reason was the publication of "An Open Letter to Putin" in No. 5 dated February 12, 2009.
The publication is a short appeal by several citizens to Vladimir Putin, in which he is accused of treason.
Recall that knowingly falsely accusing a government official of extremism is, according to the law, an extremist act. However, treason is not included in the list of extremist crimes, so the accusation of treason against Putin's homeland - albeit far-fetched - is not extremism.
