On June 11, Andrey K., a resident of this city, was detained at the airport of Yekaterinburg, returning from a business trip. Andrei is a Falun Gong practitioner. Plainclothes men who introduced themselves as FSB officers searched his luggage without presenting any documents and seized a Falun Dafa T-shirt, several leaflets, and the book Zhuan Falun.
On June 2, another Falun Gong practitioner, Tatiana N., a Moldovan citizen, was detained in Moscow while she was in Russia on her way to another country. Representatives of the FMS told her that she was a "specially dangerous person", searched her and forcibly sent her to Chisinau.

On June 14, Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived in Yekaterinburg to attend the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
It should be reminded that in April the Judicial Collegium for Civil Cases of the Krasnodar Regional Court overturned the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court of Krasnodar to recognize several Falun Dafa materials as extremist.
