The editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Duel" was convicted

On June 18, 2009, the Savelovsky Court of Moscow delivered a verdict in the case of the editor-in-chief of the Duel newspaper, Yuri Mukhin, who was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremist activities through the media).

Yuri Mukhin was sentenced to two years of probation. The reason for initiating a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for the implementation of extremist activities, with the help of the media) was the material by A. Dubrov "Death to Russia!", Published in the 27th issue of the newspaper on July 4, 2006.

Let us recall that on May 19, 2009, the Moscow City Court approved the decision of the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow to terminate the activities of the Duel newspaper.
