On June 23, it became known that the prosecutor of Bashkiria, Sergei Khutin, sent applications to the Kalininsky and Demsky district courts of Ufa to recognize 11 books and brochures of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization as extremist materials.
These printed publications were earlier discovered and confiscated in Ufa during the investigation of a criminal case initiated on the fact of organizing Hizb ut-Tahrir cells.
It should be reminded that Hizb ut-Tahrir has been recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia and its activity in the territory of the country is prohibited. In November 2008, a court in Bashkiria already recognized several printed materials of the organization as extremist.
