Is registering a migrant extremism?

In June 2009, the administration of the city of Nyagan, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, held a meeting on countering extremist activities. It was about homeowners registering migrants.

It was decided to check the legality of the practice of registering foreign citizens for money in order to prevent and detect violations of the legislation on citizenship and suppress illegal migration.

In our opinion, the fact that migration issues are dealt with in the context of anti-extremism speaks, at least, of the complete incompetence of the city administration.
