On June 26, 2009, a criminal case against Sofya Budnikova, the Kursk coordinator of the "Movement Against Illegal Immigration" (DPNI), was sent to the Leninsky District Court of Kursk for consideration on the merits.
23-year-old Budnikova is charged under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity). The investigation established that in September-October 2008 the defendant prepared the text of the leaflet "Russia on Blood", organized and financed its reproduction. Leaflets were pasted at bus stops and residential buildings in the center of Kursk.
According to the conclusions of the linguistic examination, the text of the leaflets contains statements "aimed at humiliating national dignity and inciting interethnic hatred, states the failure of the authorities to solve national problems and contains calls for action, namely to create armed detachments and fight against" illegal immigrants "" .
On December 17, 2009, the Leninsky District Court of Kursk sentenced Budnikova to 1 year of probation with a probationary period of 1 year.
