The Orthodox community opposes the placement of a helipad near the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery

Participants of the VI annual conference "The Legacy of St. Seraphim of Sarov and the Future of Russia" spoke out against the appearance of the "Airtaxi" helicopter parking in the security zone of the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery in Zvenigorod.

In their opinion, the proximity to the site will cause inconvenience to the inhabitants of the monastery, as well as pilgrims and tourists. "The spiritual atmosphere of the great Orthodox shrine will be disturbed, the bell ringing will be replaced by the roar of helicopter engines. The Russian national shrine may be desecrated for private profit," Interfax- religion quotes the address of the conference participants.

The construction of the helipad is supported by the city authorities.
