On July 3, the Lyublinsky District Court handed down a verdict in the case of Islamic publisher Aslambek Ezhaev. He was fined 50 thousand rubles for illegal use of a computer program.
At the last hearing, the judge rejected the prosecutor's charges under paragraph 1 of Art. 273 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of malware). Clause 3 of Article 146 (illegal use of copyright objects for sales purposes using official position) was reclassified into the second part - illegal use of copyright objects.
Let us recall that in July 2008 a criminal case was initiated against Ezhaev under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity) for distributing the book “The Personality of a Muslim.”
