"Russian Transbaikalia" is closed

On July 9, 2009, the Chita Regional Court decided to terminate the activities of the Russkoe Zabaikalye newspaper (editor-in-chief and founder Alexander Yaremenko) for the repeated publication of extremist materials. The lawsuit to close the newspaper, which is the organ of the local branch of the Union of the Russian People, was initiated by the deputy prosecutor of the Trans-Baikal Territory.

Recall that before that the newspaper repeatedly received anti-extremist warnings from both Rossvyazohrankultury and the prosecutor's office , its materials were repeatedly recognized as extremist .
