In the first half of July 2009, the Jewish Community Center in Ryazan was attacked twice by vandals.
First, a swastika was painted on the door of the building in which the center is located. And some time later, on July 13, a sign with the name of the organization was torn down from the wall.
Representatives of the center note that if, after the first act of vandalism, the police recorded the incidents, after the second incident, representatives of law enforcement agencies not only arrived the next day after the call, but also persuaded community representatives not to write statements about the incident.
