Member of the Uyghur-Bulgar Jamaat convicted in Bashkiria

On July 20, it became known that the Supreme Court of Bashkiria found Rustem Zainagutdinov, a 38-year-old resident of the city of Salavat, a member of the Uighur-Bulgar Jamaat organization, which is considered part of the Taliban movement, banned in Russia as an extremist, guilty of participating in the recruitment of its new members, preparing for a terrorist attack, arms trafficking.

The court sentenced the defendant to 15 years in prison in a strict regime colony.

During the preliminary investigation, it was proved that R. Zainagutdinov in 2006 joined the cell of the "Uigur-Bulgar Jamaat", created by Pavel Dorokhov, a native of the Baymak district of Bashkiria.
