Mufti of Tyumen region appointed

On July 22, it became known that Nizamuddin Zhumaev was appointed mufti in the Tomsk region. Previously, there was no mufti in the region.

N. Zhumaev was instructed to coordinate the activities of the Muslim communities of the region to expand Islamic education and strengthen cooperation.

"My duties will include not only representing the interests of Muslim communities at all levels of state power in the Tomsk region, but also the organization of new communities, control over the correct performance of religious rites," N. Zhumaev said.
