The regional head of the RNC in Khabarovsk was sentenced

On July 23, 2009 the Central District Court of Khabarovsk found guilty of Part 2 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (actions aimed at inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity) of the leader of the Khabarovsk branch of the Union of the Russian People Pavel Onoprienko (born 1958). Recall that earlier he was also charged with Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremist activities using the media).

He was sentenced to 2 years of suspended liberty with a probationary period of 2 years. He is deprived of the right to hold leadership positions in public organizations for a period of 2 years. The verdict of the court banned the publishing house of the Black Hundred Newspaper.

The verdict came into force.

During the preliminary investigation and at the court session, Onopriyenko did not plead guilty to the crime, saying that these newspapers were published with the aim of "opening people's eyes" to the genocide of the Russian people.
