The case of the Nazi “subversives” has been sent to court

On August 4, 2009, the Main Investigation Department of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate for the Nizhny Novgorod Region submitted to court a criminal case initiated against a group of nine Nazi skinheads.

The defendants identified themselves as members of the self-proclaimed National Socialist Workers' Party of Russia, with its center in the Trans-Volga region. Nine young people, two of whom are adults, are charged under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism committed as part of an organized group). Six were charged under Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in an extremist community). Group leader Roman Novikov is also charged under Art. 223 (illegal manufacture of weapons and ammunition) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The criminal case will be considered in the Gorodetsky city court, where preliminary hearings were held. All defendants partially admitted their guilt during the preliminary investigation.

Nazi skinheads are accused of blowing up a car of a native of Azerbaijan in April 2008, an attack on a house where natives of Vietnam lived in May 2008.

Also, the defendants are accused of beating and extorting money from an underage student who was expelled from the group and beaten for lying - the young man lied that he was initiated into Nazi skinheads in Nizhny Novgorod, where one beat three "Caucasians".

It should be noted that the leader of the group, 19-year-old resident of the Volga region (Nizhny Novgorod region), Roman Novikov (Fritz), created the National Socialist Workers' Party of Russia in order to expel "all non-Russians" from the country. The Gorodets cell of the party, called the Russian Elite Detachment, was headed by his friend Yevgeny Khvostov. Novikov developed a party charter, a flag, an internal hierarchy of the Fuhrer and Rottenfuehrers, membership cards, and actively distributed propaganda literature in the form of the Russkaya Volya magazine, the 18 Tips for the White Warrior leaflet, and terror manuals for beginners. Another 7 students of the Gorodetsk Agro-Industrial College were involved in the group, who were involved in various actions. The defendants regularly conducted air rifle shooting exercises in the forest and detonated homemade bombs, video reports were posted on the Internet.
