Criminal case for nationalist SMS in Chuvashia
On August 6, 2009, it became known that a criminal case was initiated in the Chuvash Republic against a 24-year-old resident of Nizhny Novgorod under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity).
The investigation established that on January 7, 2009, the girl sent nationalist SMS messages from her mobile phone to the live ticker of the local TV channel.
