On August 13, 2009, information appeared that Alexander Barkashov, the leader of Russian National Unity, according to Barkashev, had registered as a candidate in the elections for the post of head of the Klishinskoye municipality of the Ozersky district of the Moscow region. The elections will take place on 11 October.
In fact, Barkashov did not register, but only applied for registration as a candidate. And in this regard, there is a noticeable increase in the campaigning activity of Barkashov's supporters, including in villages near Moscow. In particular, advertising posters are being distributed on the Internet, designed to confirm Barkashov's good physical shape and refute rumors about his alcoholism. In the photo from the posters, Barkashov is sitting on a white horse in a heroic pose with a bow or posing with a sword.
