On August 15, representatives of the Society for Krishna Consciousness tried to hold a picket in Tula. The purpose of the picketers was to draw the attention of the city residents to the teachings of the Vaishnavas. 15 participants of the action handed out leaflets with information about their teachings to passers-by.
Since the event was not coordinated with the city authorities, two and a half hours later a police squad arrived at the picket site. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the organizers of the action under Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of the established procedure for picketing).
Representatives of the Orthodox corps of the "Nashi" movement were present at the place of the action.
