Attack on teenagers in Moscow

On August 16, 2009, in Moscow, at about 18.30, on Polyarnaya Street near the Polyarny cinema, two young people (looking from 18 to 20 years old), armed with brass knuckles and a sharp cutting object, attacked 8th grade students Georgy Mukanyan, a native of Armenia, and a native Chechnya Aslambek Iznaurov. The attackers insulted the "national dignity" of the teenagers.

Teenagers go in for sports in the kickboxing section and managed to fight back. Seeing a police patrol passing by, the attackers fled the scene. The police failed to apprehend the criminals.

One of the victims, Mukanyan, was forced to go to the emergency room with a cut on his face, where he was stitched, Iznaurov also received bodily injuries.
