The policemen, who arrived at the call of the abbess of the monastery, said that three immigrants from Uzbekistan working in the monastery could be involved in this, and decided to interrogate them, but the abbess refused.

The suspect was arrested. He is charged with Art. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (vandalism). On October 15, 2009, it became known that the case was sent to court.
