A criminal case has been opened in Voronezh against a student who posted materials about Islam on the Internet.

A criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity on the grounds of race, nationality, religion).

According to investigators, the suspect posted on websites included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials texts "containing statements aimed at inciting religious discord, hatred and enmity against persons who do not profess Islam." In particular, Evstratov's materials were published on the Kavkaz Center and Jamaat Sharia websites. A. Evstratov himself is the creator of the site "Voronezh - the territory of Islam" - a "virtual mosque" for Voronezh Muslims who do not have their own premises for joint prayer.

A computer hard drive and Islamic literature were confiscated from the suspect.

On September 7, it became known that since this is a criminal case under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - the first in Voronezh, in which references to extremism in an Islamic context appear, the case materials will be sent to Vladimir for consideration. In Voronezh, these examinations are currently not carried out.
