Search in the house of the leader of the "Russian Club"

In the house of the leader of the "Russian Club" Sergei Karnaukh, law enforcement officers, in the framework of a criminal case under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, conducted a search. This was announced on August 26, 2009 by a representative of the information department of the main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD).

During the search, founding documents of the "Russian Club", 600 copies of the "Russian Club" newspaper, about 200 CDs and DVDs, as well as badges, posters and "stickers" were seized. The materials were attached to the criminal case and sent for linguistic expertise.

S. Karnaukh is under house arrest.

According to media reports, "The Ministry of Internal Affairs intends to apply to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to recognize the Russian Club as an extremist organization . " It should be noted that the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Far Eastern Federal District (GU MVD RF for the Far Eastern Federal District) plans to apply to the prosecutor's office. It should be added that the prosecution authorities themselves cannot recognize the organization as extremist, but can only write an appeal to the court.
