Fine for swastikas in Voronezh

In early September 2009, Mikhail Berezkin, a 20-year-old activist of the informal youth group "Russian National Resistance" ("RNS"), was convicted in Voronezh, who walked the streets of the city "with a naked torso, on which tattoos depicting Nazi symbols" were applied .

The Leninsky Court of Voronezh sentenced Berezkin under Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (propaganda and public demonstration of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols) to a fine of 1,500 rubles.

The young man was detained by employees of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate for the Voronezh Region.

The RNS group became known in 2007 by its members . after the brutal murder of a teenager motivated by ethnic hatred
