In Suzdal, ROAC believers were fined for “failure to comply with a court decision to confiscate churches”

On September 7, the Office of the Federal Bailiff Service of the Russian Federation (UFSSP) for the Vladimir Region imposed a fine on believers of the Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church (ROAC) for "not allowing them to enter the buildings and obstructing the execution." The total amount of the fine imposed on the Suzdal communities of the ROAC is 80 thousand rubles.

Bailiff Filippova stated that the fine was justified by the fact that the believers of the ROAC "showed the bailiffs only three churches," and the remaining seven "did not show," that is, "prevented the execution" of the court decision to confiscate these churches from believers . Also, the staff of the UFSSP explained the fact of changing the locks on the doors of seven Suzdal churches that had not yet been finally liberated by the ROAC communities.

Elena Kostrova, a representative of the Territorial Department of the Federal Property Management Agency for the Vladimir Region, sent a statement to the UFSSP, in which she accused the believers of damaging the walls of churches by dismantling heating and cutting off communications, and demanded that the seals be sealed and the locks changed, having received consent to this.

At present, by decision of the UFSSP, seven sealed churches have been transferred to the Federal Property Management Agency for preservation, the remaining three - Tsarekonstantinovsky, Skorbyashchensky and Uspensky - have been transferred to the preservation of the ROAC until September 10.

Recall that the process of sealing the churches confiscated from the ROAC began on September 3, despite the fact that the deadline for the release of churches was extended until September 10.
