A regional coordinating council of Jewish organizations has been created in Samara

On September 14, the first meeting of active Jewish organizations of the region was held in Samara, at which a decision was made to create a coordinating council of Jewish religious and public organizations of the Samara region. It included more than twenty public and religious organizations. Including, "Jewish Religious Society of Samara". Let us recall that in January 2009 the Federal Property Management Agency terminated the contract with this organization on the use of the building of the choral synagogue.

One of the main tasks and the main reason for the creation of the council will be to resolve the controversial issue of the use of the synagogue building. It is planned to create an agreement on equal use of it for all organizations included in the council.

The Council will be permanent and plans to meet at least once every two months.
