In Kazan, the management of the Olympic Reserve School fired a male doctor so as not to embarrass Muslim students

The leadership of the Kazan Olympic Reserve School, at the request of Muslim students and their parents, fired the doctor Nikolai Blinov, who worked in the ultrasound diagnostics room. The girls did not like the fact that a male doctor conducts a medical examination, which does not comply with Sharia norms.

The Kazan School of the Olympic Reserve is a state educational institution and is funded from the federal budget.

On October 1, Ekaterina Kosurova, head of the press service of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism, announced that Nikolai Blinov had been fired on suspicion of violating the specialist's professional ethics.

According to the ministry, girls of different nationalities and religions refused to be examined. According to the director, the athletes repeatedly refused to undergo ultrasound, after which the management raised the issue of N. Blinov's compliance with the professional ethics of a specialist.
