Human rights activist, member of the new composition of the Civic Chamber of Russia and head of the organization "Right of the Child" Boris Altshuler addressed the President of the Russian Federation with an open letter in connection with the prospect that the study of the foundations of the culture of "traditional religions" in Russia will become a compulsory school subject.

B. Altshuler recalls that in connection with this, there may be a danger of a deeper division in children's and adolescent groups into "us" and "them."

The human rights activist asks the President of Russia to reconsider the decision to start an experiment on teaching the foundations of the culture of "traditional" religions in Russia. In addition, as an alternative, B.
