The trial in the case of the White Wolves group has begun

On October 5, 2009, the Moscow City Court began a process in the case of the Nazi skinhead group "White Wolves" ("White wolfs"), which committed attacks in Moscow from April 2007 to January 2008. The case is being considered with the participation of a jury .

Recall that the case involves 12 people accused of 12 nationalist attacks (11 murders and one attempt). Among the accused are 18-year-old Alexei Javakhishvili, 21-year-old Viktor Petrov, 21-year-old Alexander Grishkov, 22-year-old Sergei Demchenko, 19-year-old Richard Sobolev, 19-year-old Sergei Salishchev, 19-year-old Alexander Solovyov, 19-year-old Alexander Talatynov, 18-year-old Nikolai Pamfilov, 18-year-old Dmitry Petrov, 22-year-old Dmitry Isakin and a 17-year-old young man. Another five Nazi skinheads who were part of the group have not been identified. According to the investigation, the leaders of the group were Javakhishvili ("Java"), Salishchev, Isakin and Solovyov.

The process is being held behind closed doors due to the fact that some of the defendants (including the alleged leader of the Javakhishvili group) were underage at the time of the alleged crimes.

At the last meeting, the presiding Eduard Chuvashov established the identity of the defendants, the prosecutor announced the plot of the charge. The defendants pleaded not guilty. During the investigation, they pleaded guilty in part.

The court determined the procedure for the parties to provide evidence and their examination and set the date for the next meeting.
