On November 4, several events took place in Moscow at once, organized by ultra-right and other ethno-nationalist groups in the city.
Russian march to Lublin
The most significant was the "Russian March" organized by the DPNI (Belova-Basmanova) and the Slavic Union in Lublino.
The event was attended by 2.5-3 thousand people who represented the following organizations:
DPNY,
Slavic Union,
"Russian Liberation Front "Memory" Georgy Borovikov,
ROD Konstantin Krylov,
RONS Igor Artemov,
national union,
Parabellum Yuri Ekishev (Syktyvkar),
Resistance of Roman Zentsov,
ROD (an ultra-right group from the Moscow region),
Union of Orthodox banner-bearers.
A number of other organizations/groups took part in the march without their own symbols. A large group of marchers were far-right football fans.
The marchers (mostly Nazi skinheads) marched along Pererva Street, chanting racist (including obscene) slogans, singing songs of the Soviet era (in particular, "Katyusha"), demonstrating the Nazi salute. In various places, the columns tried to shout "Sieg heil", but these isolated attempts were not picked up. Senior police officers (major general, several colonels) walked in front of the column, and about seventy junior police officers and at least six cars with OMON were slowly moving behind the column.
It should be noted that the hopes for the inhabitants of the region to join the column were not actually justified. The initiative group "Lyublino" was represented by only a few dozen people. As a "resident of Lyublino" a man very similar to Sergei Baburin took part in the procession. The same local residents who watched the procession as spectators reacted ambiguously to it - some expressed approval, some out loud were indignant at the "fascists".
The organizers announced the number of participants three times during the event: five, seven, seven and a half thousand people, which looked especially comical against the background of the obviously dwindling number: the crowd began to rapidly thin out immediately after the procession ended, and the rally had not yet begun - a significant part left just like that, the rest did not want to go through the metal detectors.
Since at the same time the rally-concert of the "Russian Obraz" competing with the DPNI was to begin, the organizers of the rally delayed its beginning in every possible way. The rally itself went pretty quickly. Speakers were Dmitry Demushkin, Vladimir Ermolaev, Yuri Ekishev, Vladimir Kvachkov, Preston Wigington, Konstantin Krylov, Igor Artemiev, Georgy Borovikov, Alexei Mazur associated with DPNI, and his performance was one of the most aggressive).
It is worth noting the speech of D. Demushkin, who stated that a government that does not defend its nation is worthy of overthrow (and repeated this more than once), tried to prove that the current government does not protect these interests, and in this regard called on the participants in the rally to arm themselves. K. Krylov also spoke about the “right of the people to revolt” (recorded in the Declaration of Human Rights), and Vladimir Kvachkov called on the participants in the rally to “take up arms” (that is, to join the militia of Minin and Pozharsky led by him).
The rally ended at 15:30, and the rest of the participants also apparently moved to Bolotnaya Square.
Meeting-concert "Russian image"
"Russian Image" together with "Resistance" held an event that openly competed with the "Russian March" in Lyublino, and the trump card in this competitive struggle, of course, was the Kolovrat group, which had not given open concerts for many years. (Recall that the aggressive, openly racist nature of the group is well known not only in Russia. Several years ago, the leader of the group, Denis Gerasimov, was tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to be convicted of racist propaganda in the Czech Republic).
I was struck by the organization of control at this event. In fact, the pass to the fenced area was carried out at two points: at one the search was carried out, at the other - not, and those who would and who would not undergo the search were determined by no means by the policemen, but by the representatives of the organizers standing with them at the control (in masks, like most of the participants).
The first groups of participants began to gather in the metro after 13:00, by 14:30 there were about 500 people (by this time, the symbols of the "Russian Image", "Russian Verdict", "Resistance" and imperial flags were present in the crowd). Before the concert, Ilya Goryachev ("Russian Image") and two young people who introduced themselves as residents of Stavropol and Kabardino-Balkaria performed. The opening act was the ultra-right group "Hook on the Right", which, as far as we know, does not give open concerts. Then Evgeny Valyaev spoke (in this case, representing the ex-deputy Kuryanovich), the representative of the "Resistance", Alexander Vasiliev ("Russian Verdict").
By the beginning of the performance of "Kolovrat" the number of spectators increased markedly - marchers began to arrive from Lyublino. And by the end of the event (approximately 17-30), when the group began to sing their most radical songs ("For the Russian Caucasus", "White Legion", "Anti-anti-fa", etc.), the DPNI flag appeared and the number of participants reached about two thousand people, some of whom threw up their hands in a Nazi salute (during the performance of "Hook on the Right", one person, who was called a "provocateur" by the organizers, was allegedly removed from the crowd for the same reason, and other attempts to "zigging" were also suppressed).
ECM rally
Much more modest was the rally of the Eurasian Youth Union (ESM) near the monument to Griboyedov on Chistoprudny Boulevard. It lasted only an hour (from 2 pm to 3 pm) and brought together no more than a hundred people, who were addressed by six speakers: Valery Korovin, Pavel Kanishchev, Alexander Bovdunov, Mikhail Moshkin, Vladimir Nikitin, Dmitry Efremov, Ilya Lazarev (all - ESM) . The ESM-sheep themselves claim that there were 400 of them.
At the event, slogans were heard: "Glory to the empire! Russian, get up", "Putin is a sovereign dictator, Medvedev is our president", "We will forgive everything" (against the background of a song about revenge), "We will return everything back", "Think about Russia every day" and others.
In the speakers' speeches, the most memorable thesis was the thesis that when a person comes to McDonald's, takes french fries, dips them in cheese... at that moment he loses the will to a feat.
It can be assumed that some of the participants in the event did not belong to the ESM: the combatants standing in the cordon claimed that they paid 100 rubles for participation in the rally, and 350 rubles for "holding the flag").
Procession of the Orthodox Monarchists
The traditional religious procession was going to be held by Orthodox-monarchist organizations along the Boulevard Ring of Moscow. The organization "Borodino 2012" tried to act as the official organizer of the event. But it was they who became, apparently, the only Russian nationalists who were banned from the event.
Nevertheless, the procession took place. Its participants, apparently taking into account the experience of the previous year, when the worshipers were stopped in the middle of Tverskoy Boulevard by a chain of riot police, chose a different tactic: they did not begin to gather in one place - but dispersed along several boulevards, gradually joining several people starting from Pushkinskaya Square (so , for example, the leader of the Moscow Union of the Russian People, Mikhail Nazarov, joined this group). The icons they carried were small and did not attract much attention from law enforcement agencies. Until the end of Tverskoy Boulevard, the group was accompanied by several representatives of the OMON, then they were sometimes replaced by policemen. But they made no attempt to interfere with the procession. We do not know the total number of participants by the end of the procession, but by the end of Nikitsky Boulevard the group consisted of 30 people.
neopagans
The action of neo-pagans planned on Slavyanskaya Square did not take place. By the appointed time, only six people came there, who simply stood at the monument to Cyril and Methodius, surrounded by policemen numerically superior to them, peacefully dispersed.
Shares of pro-Kremlin organizations
This year, the pro-Kremlin "youth" did not try to step into the ideological clearing of nationalist organizations.
"Young Russia" celebrated November 4 on Triumphal Square. The participants of the event were given porridge, the Russian anthem was played, and they also lined up in a pyramid painted in the colors of the Russian flag. After that, over the loudspeaker, the participants of the event were asked to look for some coordinators (as passers-by cynically suggested - in order to receive money for participation).
The movement "Nashi" held a concert "All Ours" (which a month ago caused a scandal due to the fact that they tried to position it as an alternative "Russian March"). In general, the concert turned out to be apolitical, but it was unpleasantly struck by the fact that, firstly, the participants of the event were given a brochure, almost on the first page of which Prince Bagration was called "a person of Caucasian nationality", and one of the participants in the rally, seeing a journalist with a video camera, began to raise his hand in the Nazi salute. The organizers did not react to this in any way.
