A series of neo-Nazi attacks in Omsk

In October 2009, in one of the central districts of Omsk, an attack was made on anti-fascist Yevgeny D., who received several stab wounds and was hospitalized. The attackers were identified by local informals as ultra-right activists, one of them was detained by the friends of the victim and handed over to the police.

The attack was carried out with a large number of witnesses ready to testify, which would facilitate the search for the perpetrators and the establishment of a motive (the victim's belonging to anti-fascists). However, as Yevgeny's friends note, during the interview, representatives of law enforcement agencies were not interested in this, but in the participation of anti-fascists in public actions, in particular, against police arbitrariness.

Moreover, those participants in the attack on D., who were identified, have not yet been detained. Some of his friends received threats from neo-Nazis, D. himself claims that during the entire time of his hospitalization, law enforcement officers never came to him. And on November 9, 2009, neo-Nazis attacked a friend of D., a witness in the case of the attack on the latter, Boris G., who was stabbed in the stomach. The victim himself identified those who attempted on his life as neo-Nazis.

This is the third attack by Nazi skinheads in Omsk over the past three months. in Omsk Recall that on August 12 , two young people were wounded . At that time, local antifa activists also drew attention to the categorical unwillingness of the police to record evidence that pointed to the neo-Nazi nature of the attack.
