The anti-drug and anti-alcohol center created with the participation of the Voronezh diocese will also be used for political purposes

On the initiative of the governor of the Voronezh region Alexei Gordeev and with the participation of the Voronezh diocese, the anti-drug and anti-alcohol public center "Our Common Cause" (NOD) was created. The first round table organized by the center was attended by Metropolitan Sergiy (Fomin) of Voronezh and Borisoglebsk, head of the regional police department, speakers of the regional Duma and the municipal assembly of Voronezh.

NOD is an independent structure that exists separately from the similar project of Archimandrite Tikhon (Shevkunov).

As noted by Credo.ru , "Our common cause" was created, among other things, for election purposes: in March 2010, a new composition of the regional duma and a new composition of the city assembly of Voronezh were elected.
