A sentence was passed in Kovrov under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation

On November 11, 2009, the Kovrov city court (Vladimir region) sentenced 28-year-old resident of the city Vladimir Sofronov under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting national hatred or enmity), who published racist materials in his LiveJournal. Sofronov was sentenced to 10 months of suspended liberty with a probationary period of 6 months.

The criminal case was considered in a special order of trial. On November 24, 2009, the verdict entered into force.
