On November 23, 2009, in Yakutsk, on Marata Square, on a concrete slab near the Eternal Flame, unknown vandals painted a meter by meter fascist swastika with black spray paint and wrote K-Stil [Atato].
On November 24, employees of Zelenstroy LLC tried to wipe off the Nazi symbol, but they failed to completely wash off the image. Acts of vandalism occur at the monument regularly.
Deputy of the State Assembly (Il Tumen) of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Roman Dmitriev left a message about the incident at the city police department.
It is also reported that images of the swastika were previously seen on the building on Bogatyrev Street.
