In Tyumen, a case under Art. 280

On December 1, 2009, in Tyumen, a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for the implementation of extremist activities), initiated against a 33-year-old resident of the city, Vladimir Kopeikin.

According to the investigation, on April 7, 2009, under the name "Nikon", Kopeikin posted on the forum of one of the well-known Russian news agencies an article he had copied from one of the nationalist websites. In particular, the article contained calls for arson of buildings of law enforcement agencies and government institutions, and murders.

The accused is under bail.

On January 21, 2010, the World Court sentenced Kopeikin to a fine of 30,000.
