A criminal case has been opened following an explosion in a church in Vladimir.

On December 8, it became known that . a criminal case under Art 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism) and Art. 282 (inciting national, racial or religious hatred).

Together with the bomb, a leaflet with extremist content was planted in the church. An investigation is underway.

On December 10, a suspect was detained in connection with the organization of the explosion. According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainee belongs to a pagan group.

It was established that in September 2009 he sent letters to the leaders of one of the Vladimir entertainment clubs threatening to commit a terrorist attack if they agreed to Boris Moiseev's speech. The envelopes contained packages of explosives.

On December 14, it became known that the suspect had been arrested and was confessing.
