The prosecutor's office of Bashkiria accuses the government of the republic of violating the anti-extremist law

On October 22, 2009, the prosecutor of Bashkiria, Sergei Khurtin, sent the prime minister of the republic, Rail Sarbaev, a prosecutor's proposal to eliminate the violation of federal law. In particular, the document refers to the violation of the Federal Law "On counteracting extremist activity", "On public organizations" and "On the media", "On civil service" by ministerial officials.

After publications in the media, the prosecutor's office sent a submission to the prime minister on the elimination of violations of federal law. In his presentation, the prosecutor of Bashkiria, Sergei Khurtin, proposed to bring to disciplinary responsibility the officials of the Press Department of Bashkiria.

In early December 2009, the prosecutor's office of Bashkiria received a response from the government. The senior assistant to the prosecutor of Bashkiria, Larisa Kuchina, said that the answer is intermediate and the seriousness of the measures taken is still subject to consideration on the merits .

Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on Civil, Criminal, Arbitration and Procedural Legislation Andrey Nazarov appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office and the FSB with a demand to open a criminal case on the fact of abuse of power by officials who " provoked the discrediting of federal bodies" in Bashkiria.
