The Russian Council of the DOC recommended that church members choose the “Secular Ethics” block for their children instead of the fundamentals of religious cultures

On December 10-11, an extended meeting of the Russian Council of the Ancient Orthodox Pomeranian Church (DOC) was held in St. Petersburg, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of its formation.

Among other issues, the Council participants considered the introduction of the course “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” in Russian schools. Until an expert assessment of the teaching aids for religious modules has been provided, members of the DOC were recommended to choose the “Secular Ethics” block for their children.
