The press secretary of the Union of Russian People was sentenced in Khabarovsk

On December 15, 2009, the court of the Central District of Khabarovsk sentenced the press secretary of the Khabarovsk branch of the Union of the Russian People to 4 years in prison.

V. Chulkin found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremist activities).

Taking into account the sentence handed down to Chulkin under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of ethnic hatred) on September 16 and bringing him to criminal responsibility for a period of 3 years in prison, he was sentenced to a total of sentences for a period of 4 years in prison with serving the sentence in a strict regime correctional colony. He is also deprived of the right to engage in publishing and media distribution for a period of 3 years.

The criminal case against Chulkin was initiated in October 2008 and was investigated by the investigation department of the FSB of Russia for the Khabarovsk Territory. Chulkin and P. Onoprienko were charged with the creation and distribution of the newspapers "Russian Far East" and "Black Hundred Newspaper" in the squares and churches of Khabarovsk. Pevel Onoprienko was convicted in July 2009.
