On the night of December 28, 2009, two women of “Asian appearance”, apparently 30 and 35 years old, were killed on Omskaya Street in Moscow.
The women were discovered by passers-by in the area of house No. 46 in the courtyards near the garages. The women suffered numerous fractures, traumatic brain injuries, and injuries to internal organs. One of the victims died from her injuries at the scene, the second, in a coma, was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
A criminal case has been initiated under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).
An investigation is underway. All versions of the attack are being considered, including attacks motivated by national hatred.
On January 5, 2010, it became known that the attack was domestic.
