On January 14, in Lipetsk, an Orthodox priest, on the initiative of the management of the water supply complex, consecrated one of the city's water intakes. The blessed water is now supplied to the homes of citizens using this water intake, regardless of their religion.
The initiators of the action motivated their decision by the need to "help the Orthodox" on the eve of the Epiphany (January 19) and the desire to remind the residents of Lipetsk "of eternal moral and historical values."
Recall that in 2008, residents of Nakhodka were forcibly provided with holy water in the same way . According to Credo.ru , in 2008, at the initiative of the bankruptcy trustee of Voronezh, Alexei Karyakin (representative of the regional leadership of the United Russia party), water was consecrated on Maundy Thursday at the city's largest water intake.
