On January 24, 2010, in the Kirovsky district of St. Petersburg, two men were detained for painting a swastika on the wall of a house.
A 20-year-old native of Uzbekistan and a previously convicted 24-year-old native of Stavropol were caught red-handed at house number 4 on Ivan Chernykh Street (near the Narvskaya metro station). The men used a stencil to draw the inscription "WE ARE BACK" and the swastika sign on the house.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Art. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (vandalism motivated by ethnic hatred).
