On February 4, it became known that the court of the Kominternovsky district of Voronezh found 21-year-old student of the Voronezh State University (VGU) Kamal (Anton) Yevstratov guilty under part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (actions aimed at inciting national hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity, committed publicly or with the use of the media). A. Evstratov was sentenced to 1 year of suspended liberty with a probationary period of one year.
"According to the materials of the investigation, A. Evstratov, having converted to Islam, created the website "Voronezh - the territory of Islam", on which he promoted radical Islamist views, armed struggle against the infidels - jihad. He also posted his articles on terrorist websites, for example, "Kavkaz- Center". As a result of a comprehensive linguistic and psychological expert study conducted by the Vladimir Forensic Laboratory of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, it was established that a number of materials published by A. Evstratov are of a pronounced radical nature," the press service of the FSB for the Voronezh region said in a statement.
Recall that the local Muslim organization supported the filing of charges against A. Evstratov.
